Love, in English by Karina Halle REVIEW and Quotes

WHY YOU WANT TO READ THIS BOOK

BECAUSE OF MATEO CASALLES !!!
MATEO is like a god. He's former athlete. Now, he is a successful business man and he's Spanish. And sexy.

There's Vera. And she isn't for Mateo. If it's not for the little trip she and Mateo happened to take (it's like a conversational English lessons for businessmen and women). Apparently, Vera run away from her reality just to meet her love of the life.

This book is amazing, at least for me. Maybe it's also because the main plot is kinda similar to one of my life event, I mean not the characters, just the lessons about foreign language and I am the one learning. (enough about me) Vera Miles is broken women. She is covered in tattoos and sex isn't foreign to her. And she isn't committed to anyone but she is very insecure.

Well, while reading that book, I cried. In joy, in heart-breaking moments. The love they shared is so intense that I can almost feel it up to my heart.

Because Mateo is married and got a child of his own, whom he very dear. (IT's a spoiler and I'm sorry but I gotta say that Vera is gonna be a mistress)

You will see the book 2 LOVE, in Spanish which is nothing boring. Which is written from Mateo POV. (oh yes!) It's hot, sure. BUT, it's also heart-breaking T.T
Sorry to break this news to you, Mateo and Vera will have a lot, a lot of tragedy in both books. But, it's all worth it. Because, still, it's happy ending :D

Here's my favorite quotes of this book;

Sometimes you are stuck being the person you are and not the person you were. Or could be.

He slowly turned around. “What is love? In English.” I raised my brows. “Love, in English, is love?” “What is it in Spanish?” I was so enthralled by his hypnotic eyes, I could barely remember. “Amore?” He shook his head ever so slightly. “No. Love in Spanish is you.

He looks at you like... like you’re his favorite food

I was in love, in lust, in something with him and all logic, all fact, all reality, none of that seemed to matter, not to my body and not to my heart

I love this book. Really, I recommend you guys to read this book if you don't mind all the tears you will lose. And all the heartache you are about feel in the midst of Mateo and Vera building their relationship.
