The Life List Review, Quotes and EXCERPTION by Lori Nelson Spielman

So this story is about a girl who lost her mother and betrayed when she found out her mother left her nothing. All life, she's been comfortable. Her mother is a great woman which took care of everything.
And her mother left her CEO position to her sister-in-law, Catherine, like I said, felt betrayed.
I mean who did this? You left your company to your daughter when you died, except your daughter has zero potential for CEO position of your company.
So you guys might think it's because Brett and her mom have a bad relationship. But that's not it. In fact, her mother loves her dearly. Her mother died of cancer so, the death wasn't unexpected.

Brett, she used to have a list when she was a kid. The life she's living (with her boyfriend Andrew) isn't the one she once wanted.
There, from the book

“I glance over at my sleeping boyfriend. Why have I given up on the life I once wanted? Is that little girl still rambling around inside me, feeling unworthy? Is my mother right? Have I forsaken my own dreams in a desperate attempt to win Andrew’s approval—the approval I never received from my father? No, that’s ridiculous. I decided years ago my father’s approval meant nothing to me. So why haven’t I fought for my dreams? Because Andrew had different aspirations, and I chose to follow his? No, that’s just the bighearted, self-sacrificing version of me I like to imagine. As much as I hate to admit it, there’s something else, something much less noble …”

So yes, Andrew is her current boyfriend.
And turns out he isn't the love of her life.

It's pretty interesting. Actually, it's like a page-turner. The book makes me guess what is gonna happen, make you curious...
And if you're searching for something going steadily, not a major heart-broken dark theme, this book is your light read. You totally read it for once. This book encouraged me that I could be like her, do something passionate. Something that I wanted to do not something I do because that something doesn't have to go out of my comfort zone.
And there, quotes, lovely quotes :)

Love is the one thing on which you should never compromise

There will be another sky, my love, just you wait

Roosevelt once said, “Do something every day that scares you.” Continue to push yourself to do those things that scare you, darling. Take those risks and see where you land, for they are the very things that make this journey worthwhile.

Beautiful Broken Rules by Kimberly Lauren Review and Excerption

I just wanna say that you shouldn't let your expectation get high. The plot is fairly nice, not bad. BUT, the events are just... not right. The writing is just like a fan-fiction. Things aren't consequential. They are happening from here to there.
The characters are not... exciting. They're like sex-driven beats. Everyone wants to have sex with Emerson (Female Main Lead) who has commitment issues and have rules for sleeping around.

I'd list a lot more exciting fanfics than this.

BUT... you can look forward to some steamy moments. AND twins brothers. Yeah, you guys see that right. TWIN babe!

Well, for me, to describe this book in one word, I'd use "unrealistic" or "scattering".

You can't just relate to the characters. That book is too focus on events right, those events make story more interesting. But I'd prefer if the author explained character's way of thinking or their feelings or their personality.

He frustratingly ran his fingers through his sweaty brown hair.
“Fuck, Em, you’re going to ruin everything. If y’all fight or he upsets you, Quinn will take your side, and she’ll leave if it upsets you too much. I know she will.”
I turned around and moved to kneel in between his outstretched legs, facing him. He had a sad look on his face. I was absolutely sure this had more to do with Quinn possibly not living next door to him and less to do with Jaxon and I potentially fighting. As one of his best friends, all I wanted to do was make him happy again.
“Jaxon and I are adults. He knows about me, and knows about my rules. He knew all of this, weeks before. He “knows I don’t plan on being his or anyone else’s wife or girlfriend, for that matter. This is all for fun,” I said raising my hands in the air.
“Ems, do you truly believe that. Do you really think you’re never going to marry anybody?” he asked.
“Absolutely.”
He sighed. “You really should let someone in some day.”

I needed to stop where this was going. I grabbed his face and looked into his hazel eyes.
“The point is Jaxon and I are fine. We aren’t fighting, no one’s moving away. Are you kidding me, we begged you for two years to move in next to us. We aren’t going anywhere now that we’ve finally got you.” I laughed and smiled, happy when he laughed along with me.
We were interrupted by a familiar voice.
“Dude, what the hell, I thought we were meeting up at the lifeguard stand?” Jaxon was standing above us, looking down at me but talking to Cole.
He frowned at my position in front of Cole and I slowly moved my hands down from his face. I hated that I felt awkward about my close friendship with Cole in front of him. I moved back to sit next to Cole’s side again.
“Chill out, asshole, I came across Sleeping Beauty here, and stopped to talk,” Cole responded while swatting at Jaxon’s legs.
I shoved at him and said, “I wasn’t sleeping, I was just enjoying the sun.”
Jaxon gave me an angry, confused look.
“Sleeping? Emerson, you can’t sleep on the beach out here alone.”

Sometimes things aren't boring to read this. But just that.... I dunno exactly what is missing but I know something about this book isn't complete.
So,
There are three bestfriends, Emerson, Quinn and Cole.
Quinn and Cole are like you know more than friends. Jaxon and his brother are COLE's friends during high school. So... the whole plot is about how Cole didn't want to ruin the friendship between two groups and eventually things fall apart.
Hmm... go read it if you are looking for something fancy and light.

Life in Outer Space REVIEW, QUOTES EXCERPTION by Melissa Keil

This is a story of hot, new girl in highschool and a nerd.
The story itself is pretty simple.
There's nothing complicated mysterious thing happening. Oh, may be you will encounter one little thing with Sam's bestfriend, Mike.
(Mike sounded hot/ you know)

But I enjoyed it.
Because it sounded real, it sounded the things happened to them are pretty much things we probably could encounter in our lives. And the writing... is just great!

The author doesn't exaggerate anything. Like heart-breaking girl don't do alcohol and drugs out of nowhere. Yes, like I said, it's realistic.

And you guys should want to read some short excerptions from the book, probably?

“I said that I am in love with you. I've tried not to be, I really have, but it's just useless. I know you don't feel the same way about me, but I had to tell you because... well, you're all I think about. All the time. I miss you every second that you're not with me... and I know you won't want to be around me anymore, but, Camilla... you're one of the best friends I've ever had. You're smart and amazing and weird and probably the most beautiful person I've ever seen... and before I met you, all I wanted was just to fast-forward through everything. But, really, I think my life was just paused, or something. You... made me press play. You made everything move. And no matter where you go, or whatever you feel about me... I will love you forever for that.”

If someone every said that to me? I would say "yes" immediately for the marriage. Yes, omg! GUYS around me aren't romantic at all. Their idea of romantic sucks, (flowers, rings, blah blah blah)
SO, ANYWAY...

“I’m not sure what to do, so I sit on the floor on the opposite side of her. I unpack my bag and stack my books in order of size. Then I shuffle the books around again. I suddenly find that the polished surface of the coffee table is one of the most interesting features of my house, and I can’t believe I haven’t actually noticed this before. I see my reflection. I look like an idiot. I clear my throat.

Camilla drops her books onto the table with a thump.
‘Are these all yours?’ she says, waving at the shelves.
‘Mostly. Yeah.’
‘Wow.’ She stands up and runs her fingers along the DVDs.
‘And they’re alphabetised? How OCD of you.’ She tilts her head and peers at the spines.
‘Horror, horror, sci-fi, horror, zombie – I’m noticing a theme here.’
‘I like movies,’ I say weakly.
She laughs. ‘Yeah, I’m getting that.’
I scramble up beside her. ‘No, I mean … I study them. It’s sort of what I want to do.’
She tugs out a random German horror. ‘Screenwriting?’
‘Um, yeah. Maybe. I guess.’
‘And so, have you written anything?’
‘Sam’s written loads,’ says Adrian as he shoves open the lounge-room door with his knee. He’s carrying one of Mum’s good trays piled with fruit and chips. Mike and Allison follow behind with glasses and a giant bottle of Coke.”

Did I say 'simple'? ah, nah, things this very talented author makes you feel aren't simple. No. so, you better get this book.
Well, at least, this book is not gonna make you have the ugly-cry and chest pains. BUT you should read this some time.

Y'all waiting for the quotes part right? Here we go,

I guess some people enter your orbit and get stuck, and there's nothing either of you can do about it.

“And, anyway it's not always about fitting in."
"It's not?"
"Nope. Sometimes, it's about reading your environment real quick, and then finding the bits that fit you.”

No-one knows anything. Anyone who tells you they do... is full of bollocks.

I fall asleep with the sound of her voice echoing in my head, and a feeling in my chest like someone is scooping my heart out with a spoon.
