Dangerous Girls Quotes, Excerption and Review by Abigail Haas

THIS BOOK SHOULD BE LISTED IN "books-you-should-read-at-least-once-in-your-life". Total page-turner, that's what this book is. Plot? Amazing, Brilliant, Mind-blowing I could not stop using exaggerating adjectives for this book.

For characters introduction :

Anna - The main Character
Elsie - Anna's best friend. Anna's partner in crime. The girl who was murdered.
Tate - Anna's boyfriend

It's all Anna POV. Normally, it would be boring if there's only one point of view in the story. The story goes Present and Before.

How things were simple and good Before and
How things are complicated and bad Now

ARUBA where they went to vacation, there was hardly ever a case, it was safe island, some robbery, drunk violations... but then, MURDER. No authorities know what to do. There was no vivid evidences. Thus... one investigator Dekker put all the blame to Anna.

THE WAITING
The first round of questioning is simple: “When did you last see Elise?” “What were you doing that day?” “Did you see anyone suspicious near the house?”
They take us one by one into the interview room, while the rest of the group slouches, tired and weepy on yellow plastic chairs in the lobby of the police station as people mill about us in a state of barely disguised panic. We’ve called our parents, stuttered through the terrible news, and now there’s nothing left to do but wait.

Curious... curious... curious is my state of mind at that time. I couldn't wait to know more. I read and read, consume the words, and I turn the page after page.
A few things happened in between. Her boyfriend, Tate family is rich and so help out everyone in the group with investigation but... Anna was...

Trial-After the fight
I lean back in my seat, exhausted. I’m sleeping even worse now, every click and rattle echoing through the isolation wing.
“How can you be so sure?”
Lee gives me a quiet smile, his brown eyes soft but resolute.
“I just am.”
But I can’t accept that, not when it feels like everyone in my life has turned out to have some other agenda, a hidden reason for making me say or do what they want.
“No, I mean it,” I tell him.
“Why are you here? You said it yourself, the embassy doesn’t want anything to do with me. Aren’t you risking a lot, going against them?”
Lee looks down. “I guess I just want to help. You’re stuck in here alone, and what they’re saying about you . . .”
“Why don’t you believe them?” I ask, insistent.
“Everyone else does, even people I thought were my friends. You don’t even know me, and you’re saying you believe me for sure.”
Lee pauses. He’s weighing something, I can tell, and when he looks up, there’s something tired in his expression. “My sister, this happened to her. Not murder,” he adds quickly. “Drugs.”

So yes, the lawyer given by Tate rich family back out on Anna. Her friends were proved innocent. Anna only has her father and her father is struggling. So someone good came out, Lee.

I don't want to reveal much. But don't worry the biggest plot twist is waiting ahead and the big surprise for your enjoying. So get ready (I'm sure you won't be ready for the ending... you can guess all you want but, no... this book is a beauty in century.)

Memory and imagination are only a knife edge apart, and I wonder if I'm making it all up; slipping false memories in among the real ones just to have something to hold onto.

We're all strangers, in the end.

Wouldn't we all looked guilty if someone has searched enough?

Some pieces couldn't be glued back together. Some people weren't for fixing. Sometimes, the only thing to do was burn the whole fucking place down and start again.

FANGRIL by Rainbow Rowell best Quotes and excerption

Character Introduction first, OK?
Levi > He is... a friend of Cath new roommate, Regan, and Cath thought Levi is... Reagan's boyfriend.

“Please don’t make me sit in the hall,” Levi said.
Cath stepped over his legs to get to her door. “I have to study.”
“Reagan’s running late, and I’ve already been sitting here half an hour.” His voice dropped to a
whisper: “Your neighbor with the pink Ugg boots keeps coming out to talk to me. Have mercy.”
Cath frowned at him.
“I won’t bother you,” he said. “I’ll just wait quietly for Reagan.”
She rolled her eyes and walked in, leaving the door open behind her.
“I can see why you and Reagan hit it off.” He got up to follow her. “You can both be extremely
brusque sometimes.”
“We didn’t hit it off.”
“That’s not what I heard.… Hey, now that you’re eating in the dining hall, can I eat your protein
bars?”
“You were already eating my protein bars,” Cath said indignantly, sitting at her desk and opening
her laptop.
“I felt bad about doing it behind your back.”
“Good.”
“But aren’t you happier now?” He sat at the end of her bed and leaned against the wall, crossing his
long legs at the ankles. “You look better nourished already.”
“Um, thank you?”
“So?”
“What?”
He grinned. “Can I have a protein bar?”
“You’re unbelievable.”

That was excerption 1 with Levi. I am sure you guys wanna know more right? In other words, teasing :P

Some inspiring Quotes

It’s just … everything. There are too many people.
And I don’t fit in. I don’t know how to be.
Nothing that I’m good at is the sort of thing that matters there.
Being smart doesn’t matter—and being
good with words.
And when those things do matter, it’s only because people want something from me.
Not because they want me.

You can give away nice like it doesn't cost you anything

In new situations, all the trickiest rules are the ones nobody bothers to explain it to you. (And the ones you can't Google.)

To really be a nerd, she'd decided, you had to prefer fictional worlds to the real one.

Let's get back to excerption ^_^
Nick > Umm... he is just some guy that happened to be in the same Writing class with Cath. Ok, you dun forget Cath right? The main character XD :P

Nick had let her read some of his short stories and the first few chapters of a novel he’d started
freshman year. All his stuff was dark—dirtier and grimier than anything Cath would ever write—but
still funny. And bracing, somehow. Nick was good.
She liked to sit next to him and watch all that good come out of his hand. Watch the jokes spill out
in real time. Watch the words click together.
“Exactly…,” he said, licking his top lip. He practically didn’t have a top lip, just a smear of red.
“That’s why I feel like I need to do something special this time around.”
“Come on.” Cath pulled at the notebook. “My turn.”
It was always hard to get Nick to give up the notebook.
The first night they’d worked on their extracurricular story, Nick had shown up with three pages
already written.
“That’s cheating,” Cath had said.
“It’s just the first push,” he said, “to get us rolling.”
She’d taken the notebook and written over and between his words, squeezing new dialogue into the
margins and crossing out lines that went too far. (Sometimes Nick stretched his style too thin.) Then
she’d added a few paragraphs of her own.
It had gotten easier to write on paper, though Cath still missed her keyboard.…
“I need to cut and paste,” she’d say to Nick.
“Next time,” he’d say, “bring scissors.”
They sat next to each other now when they worked—the better to read, and write, during the other ’s
turns. Cath had learned to sit on Nick’s right side, so their writing hands didn’t bump unintentionally.
It made Cath feel like part of a two-headed monster. A three-legged race.
It made her feel at home.
She wasn’t sure what Nick was feeling.…

So, I have a feeling that you might want to read this book like right now, or NOT :)
But it will worth your time. Trust me. That book relate to a girl's feeling like ... I dunno. You will get it when you read it.
Thanks.

Breaking Him (Love is War #1) Quotes, Excerption and Review by R.K Lilley

I love Dante.
I hate Dante.
I love Scarlett.
I hate Scarlett.

Yeah... totally mixed feelings. I totally love the writing.
The way the story reveal and unravel bits by bits is very interesting. I never really like a romance theme novel since the start of the chapter. The way Scarlett loves her friends, the way she is so fixated on revenge, the way the story is traveling from past to present makes me wonder what is like to be her friends and herself.

Scarlett is one of the flight attendants at the start of the story and Dante, her ex.
So it's a given that both of them are not over each other as Dante is on her plane. They messed around. There's a lot of denying of feelings, a lot of hurt and a lot of painful past. Of course also a lot of sweet start of the romance.
Sometimes they go overboard. I don't understand why they had to hurt each other.

SCARLETT
When I was a child, I thought that no one would ever love me.  For the longest time, I was certain of this.  It was me against the world, and the world was cruel. But then.
Then.
Dante.
He loved me so deep and so hard that I was blinded by it.
I thought it was a miracle.  I was so young, so impressionable, so infatuated.
So stupid.  For years and years, all I had the sense to do was bask in it.I let our love rule my life.  It was everything to me.  He was.  I became possessive of every part of him.  And it didn’t take much for that possessive streak to turn ugly.  My jealous rages were infamously brutal on us both.

Possessive, jealous, bad-temper those are all perfect adjectives to describe both Dante and Scarlett

Dante, who’d been a silent presence at my back, spoke then, “You’re not alone,” he said, his voice emotional.  Intense.
I acted as if I had not heard, as if he had not spoken.  Those words meant nothing to me, particularly coming from him.
“You were wrong, Gram,” I said softly, tone emotionless because I was resigned to the awful, lonely truth of it.
“Love doesn’t save our souls.  It kills them.”
I could hear Dante literally grinding his teeth behind me.”
For some strange reason, Dante sat me next to him in the front row for the service.  I didn’t have the energy to fight him on it, so I took my seat, glancing surreptitiously around at all of the familiar faces and the significance of where they were sitting and whom they were sitting with.
Predictably, I clocked Tiffany’s location first, but she’d placed herself so close to us, directly behind Dante in fact, that it was hard not to.
I almost moved when she first sat down, almost got up and made a scene, but.....

So, there's this "Tiffany" apparently villain, yeah.

If you're looking for a page turner, this book is a to-go. That cliff-hanger ending is something I didn't expected.
AND Bastian!!! (GOD HE IS SEXY)
Who is Bastian?
My boyfriend.
Sorry, he will be playing an important role in next book...
Another thing about this book is that there are quotes every start of the chapter. LET's see what makes here ... XD

I was born for the storm, and a calm does not suit me.

It was the sweetest torture, the most delightful torment, to let the man that had ruined me for joy bring it back into my body for one brief instant.

Unless life also gives you water and sugar, your lemonade will suck. - A realist.

Temptation is a woman's weapon and man's excuse. - H. L. Mencken

If you ever looked at me once with what I know in you, I would be your slave. - Emily Bronte

Rock by Anyta Sunday Review M-M relation Gay Novel

Wow. Well, if you support gay rights, sorry, even if you don't This story is beautiful.
Yes, it's M/M relationship novel. The story goes with narration type but it's totally NOT boring.

It's from the POV of Cooper when he was 12. His family broke up and he and his older sister had to choose side. Well, his father's new family is rich (practically he has to live with his father since his mom has job and dun have time to raise them).
Just like this, this story tells us about broken family and broken rules. Cooper met Jace in his father's new family. And as a young man, he fall in love with Jace who is 2 years older than him.

Jace doesn't want to admit that he's gay but he is bisexual. So life goes on.
It took away my breath. The story is too sad but not to the point of crying but I almost cry :'( :'(

Well, I thought you guys should read this since it's rare good M/M novel.

FANGIRL by RAINBOW ROWELL Review

This book is just a fiction. Yeah, a fiction but it will get you emotional and you will want a sister, but since I already got a dear sissy (older, 4 years) of mine, I got teary.
So, let's get down to the business.

The main character of the story is no other than "Simon snow"
Do you believe it?
Nah, I am just kidding. It's a she. Her name is "Cath"
Like the title said, "fangirl" is what Cath is and as well as her twin sister since they were kids. Then her sister got over it, but she doesn't. Wren, Cath's sister wanted a separate room with her when they got into college. Cath took it hard.

You will want to read this book cox this book is

  • Amazing
  • Touching
  • First Love
  • Family
  • Emotional
I love this book also because of ... I saw myself in her. Sometimes, she write fan-fictions. I don't know, part of me envied her. So, read the book if you got the chance. It will worth your time. ^_^

teasers ;

“You’ve read the books?”“I’ve seen the movies.”Cath rolled her eyes so hard, it hurt. (Actually.) (Maybe because she was still on the edge of tears. On the edge, period.) “So you haven’t read the books.”“I’m not really a book person.”“That might be the most idiotic thing you’ve ever said to me”

Norwegian Wood Review and Quotes by Haruki Murakami

Please, before you read this book, keep that in mind. DO NOT LET THE WORDS SINK IN. DO NOT FEEL. But it will be impossible. TRY not to let the book makes you ride the emotional roller coaster.

The whole story doesn't make sense. I mean life is not filled only with broken people right? The main character Toru Watanabe is only 20!!! When things start, he was 17. It might probably be boring. But the little stories each character, it's full of sadness, full of life. You can't deny them. You can dismiss them but read them, sympathize them.

But I probably will never re-read that book again. I don't wanna sit quietly at the corner of the room with no intention of communicating or involving with people around me after finishing that book. But I'm not sure if I can really say that? Finish that book I mean. Did it even finish? Had it? I don't know. I don't get the closure. Instead, I'm left with number of questions.

Yes, this is the most important thing for me. CLOSURE. I am not satisfied and gave that book 3 out of 5 stars only because of this reason. But lessons learned? I don't know. I am too fed up with Naoko to learn the lessons from them. I'm gonna stop. Because, if I don't, I will end up giving spoilers.

Just let's go to quotes,

If you only read the books that everyone else is reading, you can only think what everyone else is thinking.

What a terrible thing it is to wound someone you really care for and to do it so unconsciously.

Despite your best efforts, people are going to be hurt when it's time for them to be hurt.

No truth can cure the sorrow we feel from losing a loved one. No truth, no sincerity, no strength, no kindness can cure that sorrow. All we can do is see it through to the end and learn something from it, but what we learn will be no help in facing the next sorrow that comes to us without warning.

Nobody likes being alone that much. I don't go out of my way to make friends, that's all. It just leads to disappointment.

What makes us most normal is knowing that we're not normal.

If you're in pitch blackness, all you can do is sit tight until your eyes get used to the dark.

Maybe Someday by Colleen Hoover QUOTES

I don't know about you guys but I always like to remember a good quote or QUOTES. They warmed my heart like a good blanket in the cold wind, or like a nice cup of coffee in the rainy day, or like a fireplace in the chilly night. Am I being poetic? Nah, I know I'm lame. Sorry.
So, let' see.

I guess I thought that we would always stay the same.
And I can tell that you find somebody to blame.
And I know in my heart, in my mind, it's all a game.

That's something that touched my heart. I can relate to this one. Life gives you one guy that... I'll stop. This isn't even about me. It's about Sydney

As much as I claim to want to be unattached from guys and independent and strong, the only thing I'm thinking is how much I wish he would take complete and total control over me.

I assumed that maybe someday, when I was ready, things could have developed between us.

Hey, heart. Are you listening? You and I are officially at war.

It's from Ridge's bestfriend, roommate and band-mate. Warren, (I actually spend a good visit to my book because I forgot his name lol) he is ... I like him, ok not at first. Since I am on Sydney's side ^^

Sometimes in life, we need a few bad days in order to deep the good ones in perspective.

The more I open up to him, the more I need him. The more I admit to myself that I need him, the more it hurts to know that I still don't exactly have him.

So, umm, go and dig that book up. See if anything worth noted down there. You know I could miss a thing or two XD
Thank you all for reading this blog ^_^ It means something to me.

The Sea of Tranquility Review BY Katja Millay

This book is brilliant. Seriously, no kidding.
But heyy, I recommend you to read this if you're looking for

  • The tragedy
  • The broken lifestory
  • The rage
  • The pain of sacrificing
  • The Misery
  • The Badass females
Nastya > She is so broken. Her left hand was destroyed.

Josh > He is also broken but he is in one piece. He has his great bestfriend. His family was killed in a car accident.

So, they met. Nastya is a new girl in the school Josh is going.

The way Nastya keeps up her appearance is ... in one word "slutty" or in another word "bitchy". Yeah, I know, you should read this book.

The thing about Nastya is .. she doesn't speak. But then, she met Josh in her most fragile moment and Josh became the only guy (you can consider as ONLY HUMAN) she speak after the accident.

I live in a world without magic or miracles. A place where there are no clairvoyants or shapeshifters, no angels or superhuman boys to save you. A place where people die and music disintegrates and things suck.

Maybe Someday by Colleen Hoover Review

Ok. I recommend this book. If you are looking for
  • The hottest guy ever
  • The tragedy
  • The thrill
  • The tears
  • The breathlessness
  • The FORBIDDEN LOVE
Most of Colleen Hoover Books are all about forbidden love.

Below there might be spoilers but not so spoiled.

The thing is, Ridge is deaf! And he doesn't speak. But he is a song writer, very talented.
And Sydney? She is well, she was betrayed by her roommate. One day, she moved to Ridge's Apartment. And thus, she developed feelings for Ridge who saved her (you will see, GO READ THAT DAMN BOOK PLEASE) and figure out Ridge has a girlfriend, Maggie

So you get it? Sydney doesn't want to have love affair and of course Ridge obviously doesn't also. Ridge loved Maggie but he thought he did. (you will see, PLEASE JUST READ THAT BOOK)

And the end? It is happy ending but you will see. How my favorite Author "COLLEEN HOOVER" made this story perfect and heart-breaking.
