It's not me, It's YOU REVIEW, QUOTES and EXCERPTION by Mhairi McFarlane

This book is cool. That's my first comment. The thing about me is that I don't enjoy reading if I can predict what's going to happen at every turns. But this book? I can't predict what's next. TRUST ME, I'm pretty good guessing the possible plot.
Well, I can guess the plot in general tho. As soon as I read about a character, I know how important he/she is gonna be and how he/she is gonna affect the whole story.

This book is amazing. Don't misunderstand, you won't feel your blood boiling your excitement thrilling but, the plot is not bad. True, it's not that fluffy. BUT it's real. The book give me feelings of sympathy with the characters and convinced me that this could happen in real world. (I have a habit of comparing fictional worlds and real world, my bad)

SO, Shall we take a visit to a piece of book?

He sat down heavily on the frayed yellow velvet sofa, at a right angle to where she was sitting.
‘Say something, Dee.’ He sounded gratifyingly shaky.
‘What am I supposed to say? And don’t call me Dee.’
Silence. Apart from the clatter of Parsnip’s unclipped toenails on tiles, as he skittered back from the kitchen and settled into his basket in the hallway.
She was expected to open this conversation?
‘How did it start?”
Paul stared at the fireplace. ‘She came into the bar one night.’
The same way I did, Delia thought.
‘When?’
‘About three months ago.’
‘And?’
‘We got chatting.’
There was a pause. Paul had a cardiac arrest pallor again. It looked as if giving this account was as bad as the original discovery. Good.
‘You got chatting, and next thing you know, your penis is inside her?’
‘I never meant for this to happen, Dee … Delia. It’s like some nightmare alternate reality. I can’t believe it myself.’
‘How did you end up shagging her?!’ Delia screamed and Paul almost started with fright. Offstage, Parsnip gave a small squeak. Paul put his glass down with a bump, and his palms together in his lap.

SO umm, Paul and Delia were in a relationship for many years. Delia found out he was cheating and... there, The story starts like this, simple but... exciting!
So she moved out. To London, yay! New career, new house, new guys ;)

He turned and scanned the room, as if looking for someone. Oh, wait? No you don’t. Not you. Delia realised she’d been expecting a Stephen Treadaway-type little oik from the Chronicle, but this Dorothy was no longer in Kansas.
His eyes snagged on her and her spirits plummeted. He stared hard, as if she was an anomaly in this universe, in her pink checked gingham. She loved her diner waitress dress, but under this man’s gaze she felt instantly uncomfortable. Delia had been found out. She didn’t belong.
As she swallowed hard and hastily stuffed the folder full of secrets out of sight, he strode towards her.
‘Delia. Twist & Shout?’ he said, with a note of question in his voice, when he reached her. She nodded and he did a mechanical lift-and-drop smile that didn’t reach his eyes. Delia’s previous burst of happiness was shredded, in ribbons at her feet.
‘Adam West.’
He thrust a hand out and Delia shook it. It was a cool, confident palm of course, and Delia was grateful hers hadn’t had the time to get clammy. Why did he have to throw her off-balance with his blinding genetic superiority? It wasn’t fair, the beautiful automatically outranked you.
‘I’d booked and they said you weren’t here. I didn’t realise you’d taken a different table,’ he said.
‘Sorry,’ Delia said, unsure if she was being accused of something.
‘Did you want to eat?’ he said. Well, we did say brunch.
‘Not really …’ Delia lied. She wanted the double eggs on muffins with yellow sauce or even steak au poivre with shoestring fries – and for the man opposite her not to be there.
‘Sure? They do a good waffle, I’m told.’
‘Are you eating?’
‘No.’
‘I’m fine.’
If this was some sort of waffle-based power play, Delia wasn’t biting.

Hmm, Adam West. Now, what had Delia got herself into?
This book isn't exactly something you wants to read to kill time. This book is something you want to read because you need to take a break from your life. You'll learn something from this book. The character of Delia is that, she isn't amazing. But she's smart, this book is cool. I mean it. The life decisions she made isn't easy but necessary. So, now time for QUOTES.

Uncovering an affair wasn’t a one big fact headline story. It was like Metroyshka dolls, lies inside lies inside lies.

Some friendships got longer without getting deeper.

Nothing worthwhile was without risk. You had to decide whether your feelings were strong enough to make it a risk worth taking.

That’s the whole story of how I was so stupid as to risk everything that mattered to me, on something so meaningless.
Yeah, I won't exactly give out 5 full stars but this book definitely worth your time ;)

[MAJOR ALERT]
Heartache
Heart wrenching
Heart Pain
LOTS AND LOTS OF CRYING and SOBBING and RUNNY NOSE

I don't know why am I reading this so late? WHY NOT EARLIER? Yeah, this book is brilliant. It can make you so mad, angry and frustrated and all sorts of emotions. Powerful words, heart-wrenching story.
This book is just... GOLD.

A girl, a little girl who is unwanted by her father.
Eventually, her mother tried to get rid of her in order to please the man she loved.
A girl who lost everything.
A girl who doesn't believe in God. Anymore.
A girl who doesn't get attached anymore because, getting attached is wrong.
There is no LOVE in man.
There is GIVE and TAKE only.
A girl who is prostitute.
A girl who is wanted by many man for sexual pleasure.
A girl who thinks all men are the same, wanting her body, only her body.
A girl who has already gave up on the idea of living like an actual person. She eats. She breathes.

Then, Michael happens.
A man who wanted her.
A man who wanted her not just for her body.
A man who believes in and heard by God.

They met.

And you will read the most heart-breaking, breath-taking story ever.
Oh, did I mention that it's historical fiction?
Yeah, it's very brilliant.

[LIST] JUST SO-SO. I WON'T READ SECOND TIME FOR SURE

First of all, I am sorry that I had to do this.
I AM NOT SOME WORTHLESS SHIT! (someone who criticize on other's hard work). I respect you all for making a book, it is indeed hard. (I am also fanfiction author so...)
Just that, the satisfaction the book give isn't just enough. Like every other readers, I crave more.
Expectation high as the description and ratings on Goodreads pointed up.
Then the book won't just meet the expectation I set. I feel lacking, unfulfilled so, THE LIST is just below.

BULLY - Penelope Douglas
You know, it's not so bad. But not my taste, first bestfriends then enemy? I mean... PEOPLE DO THAT? I don't know. For me, it's not realistic. Well, fiction is fiction. No rules applied. Yeah, you could try that book, I'm just saying it doesn't make it to my favorite list.

This book is so unique that I won't re-read it. (YEP! Everyone else love this book) Because this kind of book, you just won't forget and the plot is awesome just that ending. I care so much about ending of books. I hate sad-ending. I just won't read books with sad ending. Not that I researched before I start reading, also my choice never is sad. BUT this is sad for me tho. Because the guy I want to be alive and well and happy in the end isn't...  the guy. /sigh/ What can I do?

THE EDGE OF NEVER - J. A. Redmerski
This book is fun. Totally fun. Road trip. Escaping reality and shits happening in their life. Then, they got to deal with them again. I don't know, I don't even know why I read this book in the first place. I don't even like inked and pierced guy. I don't know what makes me put this book in the list, cause I like it where it was going. But the last part, the part I thought would be brilliant isn't. AND here I am, putting this book in the list.

Again, it would be nice if I'm not the only one not LOVE-IT this book. Yeah, mysterious, hot, sex all three criteria are in there. BUT WHY CAN'T I LOVE THIS BOOK? I don't know. I know I'm not crazy AT ALL. Just that, it's totally predictable. (BUT there's one point I couldn't predict but all the hints /really?/) Yeah, I like sudden death, un-announce. But this book is very hinting. Not like teasing, but showing it's trick that's why I lost interest. BUT TRUST ME, ARCHER IS ONE OF THE KIND and this book is worth it because of him. <3

LOVE LETTERS TO THE DEAD - Ava Dellaira
No actual comment on this one, I just won't spend another minute. Even the story is heart breaking, I think my age is far beyond old enough to read this childish thinking book.

BEAUTIFUL BROKEN RULES - Kimberly Lauren
I can't understand why this book is famous. Really, why?! The characters, or everyone in this books are sex-driven beasts. Everything they want is sex-related. Nice body, breasts, asses and 6-pack hot guys. AND two hot identical TWINS and everyone seemed to separate them with no problem even tho they are new. The writing is just like a fan-fiction. I could point out better fan-fictions than this. I mean, the plot is not so bad. And sometimes romantic. BUT unrealistic! As if college guys can afford 200$-400$ for donation date with girls (Yeah, that plot caught me off guard, it's kinda nice but like I said, unreal) and to get a date with his girl, the guy pay 1000$!!! 1000$ yep, three zero! >.<

MY SKYLAR - Penelope Ward
At least, I made it till the end. This book just doesn't make sense to me. When Mitch and Skylar (two main characters) were kids, they speak and act as if they were adult. And now that they are adults, they f*cking act like immature children. I am so sick of the characters. This book has such great reviews? I can't help but rolled my eyes. Anyway, romance is not bad. This book got it owns fluttering moments of Mitch and Skylar but I guess it is not enough to call this a good read.
SO FAR, JUST THESE. Could be that you one of you will fall in love with one of these books. Not everyone has the same taste. Also could be that this post touches you, relates you in some way. Glad that I AM NOT THE ONLY ONE and YAY!
Thank you ;)

Archer's Voice REVIEW, QUOTES, EXCERPTION by Mia Sheridan

People can be a little bit exaggerating. This book is good, absolutely more than just good. But I don't know, the whole thing about "small town, a guy like myth" isn't exactly my thing. I just... it's so unrealistic.

This book is Bree-centered book. Well, it says "Archer's voice" so I thought it could be about Archer. Well, yep it is. But I felt that it's more about how Bree is fragile. How she hurt and ran away from her problems. How she is the one the myth-like guys fall for... Well... I'm too old for that fantasy.

Other than that, it's a great book. Sex part not bad. But I can't feel the pain of Bree. There, the part she is total mess, I read it. But the feeling and emotion just won't come. But strangely, when Archer is worried about her? HERE WE GO, my strange little heart is beating. Maybe I don't like Bree. Maybe I love Archer. TOO MUCH. Yes, he's a god. A genius, with an incredible heart that is extremely hard to find in *hot* guys these days.

Well, aren't hot guys in books too common these days? Yeah you could say that but Archer is so kind and so innocent that it hurts me. It makes me want to protect him from all kind of harms and I know it's impossible because there probably won't be guys like him around anymore.

Bree has a dog... So, that dog ended up being a cupid, not so creative huh?

I took the stone path around the house, trailing my hands along the painted wood. I peeked around the back of the house and there he was, his bare back to me as he raised an axe over his head, his back muscles flexing as he swung downward, cracking an upright log straight down the middle so that three pieces all fell outward and landed on the dirt.
He bent down and picked them up and placed them in a stack of neatly piled pieces sitting under a tree, a large tarp off to one side.
As he turned back around to the stump where he was chopping the smaller pieces, he caught sight of me and startled and then froze. We both stood there staring at one another, my mouth slightly open and his eyes wide.
I closed my mouth and smiled, but Archer remained staring for several beats before his eyes did one quick sweep of me and returned to my face, narrowing now.
My eyes moved over him as well, his well-defined naked chest, all smooth-skinned muscles and rippling abs. I had never actually seen an eight-pack, but there it was, right in front of me. I guessed that even slightly strange, silent hermits weren't exempt from exceptional physiques. Good for him.

Could be said that it's their second meet. Archer appearance is yeah... wild and messy. Totally like a cave-person but... I don't see what's so bad about a cave person.

Oh... I forgot to mention something, Archer does not speak.

Sometimes an understanding silence was better than a bunch of meaningless words.

I lost my heart to you. And, Bree, in case you're wondering, I don't ever want it back.

Try to believe that maybe more light shines out of those who have the most cracks.

Maybe there was no right or wrong, no black or white, only a thousand shades of gray when it came to pain and what we each held ourselves responsible for.

Loving another person always means opening yourself up for hurt.

I want to be able to love you more than I fear losing you

And sometimes, that's all it takes–one person who's willing to listen to your heart, to the sound no one else has ever tried to hear.

So... HAVE FUN READING ;)
