A Thousand Boy Kisses Review, Quotes, Excerption byTillie Cole

SO SPECIAL, as special as special can be.

They met since young. 'Poppy and Rune, best friends for infinity!'
Rune. Age five. From Norway to America. Rune Erik Kristiansen hated to come to America. And Poppy is what made it good.
Poppy and Rune were inseparable. But then, one day Poppy had to leave Rune. Rune doesn't know why. Poppy doesn't let Rune know.

[MAJOR ANGST ALERT]
I warned y'all. So, brace yourself if you decided to read anyway.

Poppy left Rune for two years without a word, a letter but they met again anyway.

“Does it matter?” I asked, my voice low. Poppy’s paper heart was still in my hand, the significance of it almost scalding my skin.
The promise of our lips.
The promise of our halved hearts.
Forever always.
Poppy slowly began to shake her head, but then, shoulders slumping, she nodded once. “Yes,” she whispered, “it matters. It shouldn’t. I set you free.” She dropped her head. “But it does. It matters more than you’d understand.”
She was wrong. I understood why it mattered so much. It did to me too.

Of course, they will re-unite again.

"The universe is right again only when Poppy and Rune got back together again."

What makes this book good is... the writing. It's not the plot. It's the moments of the characters together.
This book is 'bittersweet'. Like I said, you'll get a lot of angst and also a lot of fluffs all heart and flowers and kisses. And you can't describe the feeling after you read the book with words. It's indescribable. I could reveal all the spoilers and plot, you would know the book but trust me, it's not the same.
The writing is gold.

AND THE ENDING... god, the ending is beautiful.
That's all I am gonna give you. You can guess but you'll never know ;)

Quotessss~~~

Why be miserable when you can be happy? It’s an obvious choice to me.

Why must we wait until we run out of time to start to accomplish all that we dreamed, when once we had all the time in the world? Why don’t we look at the person we love the most like it’s the last time we will ever see them? Because if we did, life would be so vibrant. Life would be so truly and completely lived.

A single moment could change the world. It could change someone's life. That one moment could make someone's life, in that brief second, infinitely better or infinitely worse.

PresLocke Series Review by Ella Frank & Brooke Blaine, Download Links

Not satisfied (actually very disappointing series) from Ella Frank

I am already a fan of Ella Frank. Her "TEMPTATION" series is one of my favorite. But I have to admit this series is a turn-off. Too much sex. Well, at first I can't say I dun enjoy it. Then, it's like repeating the same thing over and over again so I get bored. But I loved the two main characters.
Ace Locke : THE SUPERSTAR. ACTION MOVIE star.
Dylan Prescott : Newbie modeling and acting.
So, they met.
While Dylan is open about what he wants and who he wants to fck, while Ace is not. Cameras are everywhere he went, private or public. So Ace is in the hiding. He just had a scandalous scandal (yes, scandals are scandalous) and he had to stay low profile.

The attraction is there between them. But they can't act on their instincts as they are co-actors on the same movie.
Dylan also has a family secret. (does this count as a spoiler? welll...)

As silence descended, I wasn’t sure what the hell to say, or if it was better just to stay silent. But as the man next to me fumed, and my curiosity got the better of me, I couldn’t stop myself from checking in with him.
“Dylan?” I said softly, and when he didn’t acknowledge me, I tried again.
“Hey, talk to me.”
He continued to gaze out the window, but shook his head slightly.
“Who’s Brenda and why does she have you looking like you want to jump out of my car into traffic?” I asked.
“Dylan let out a long sigh and ran his hand over his face.
“She’s no one of any importance.”
“I call bullshit. Anyone who has that much of an effect on you isn’t just no one.”
“Let it go, Ace.”
“And just let you suffer over there in silence? Talk to me.”

The first book gives me something to expect for the second book.

I really had high hopes for 2nd book. Just as I am not highly satisfied with the first book, I don't wanna throw away one of Ella Frank's book also considering the ending of the first book. Actually, the second is better than the first. Plot-wise, that is.
Ace;
"Dylan, I can't begin to explain all of the ways you have changed my life. You literally stopped me in my tracks the first time I saw you, and no, I don't mean at the studio lot. I mean the first time I saw you. And then, by some miracle of fate, you stepped out in front of my car that day, and if that isn't a sign, I don't know what is."
The ending was exciting, almost perfect ending for the book.

I can't believe this book is even by Ella Frank. I have such high hopes for her books. This book is practically about the wedding. Very detailed wedding ceremony.
Trust me, I'd never been this bored.
I flipped through the whole book. The mention of Logan & Tate is quite nice but I can't say it makes any better of the book. I am very sorry to say but this is a complete waste of time.

Still Review, Excerption by Mary Calmes

Sivan Cruz and Walter Wainwright

The start is divorce. I like it when it leads me to happy ending so,...
IT is not very crazy reading. So it gets boring sometimes, like when they're trying so hard to focus on not liking each other or not admitting that they like each other.

But I  think Mary Calmes is pretty talented. She knows how to makes the audience excited, the choice of words is very sexy.

The Start...

Once I was on the floor, I had to tip my head back to meet his furious glare. As I was five nine to his six two, it was necessary. “And?”
“Pallets are not made to put weight on.” He gestured at my brilliant idea.
“I tied them up with rope,” I explained, grabbing hold of his wrist to pull him after me so I could point out how I had lashed them together.
“That is not the point!” he said, twisting in my hold so his big hand was on my forearm.
“I—”
“Shut up,” he ground out, yanking me forward.
I exhaled sharply because I had to put a hand on his abdomen to keep from tripping into him, and what I felt under my palm was solid and defined. No doubt about it, even though he was an ass, the power in Walter’s frame was enough to make me drool.

Somehow, they got drifted away. Maybe too much work came in between. Maybe other factors... Maybe it's just people,

Fate comes in away...

“Okay.” I exhaled, supporting my chin on my fist as I took in the sight of him. “You know I miss seeing you every morning.”
“Oh yeah?” His voice sounded heavy.
I nodded slowly, and he leaned forward, closer to me, cupping my cheek in his palm.
“I think you’ve already had too much to drink.”
I conceded that five glasses with appetizers and soup was a lot for me. “Yes, but it’s the truth. I liked being married; I think I’m going to do it again.”
“Are you?”
“Mmmmm.”
“What do you miss most about being married?”
“The sex.”
He choked on his wine.
“What?” I was confused.
“Baby, I will take you home with me right now and we can remedy your sex problem.”
“It’s not a problem; I’m just not having any.”
“Oh God,” he groaned.

It's nice.
It's fluttering.
There's not much in plot but the way Walter loves Sivan is enough reason to read this book. :)
HOPE you enjoy ~

Waking Olivia Review, Quotes and Excerption by Elizabeth O' Roark

"That girl isn't just trouble of the not-a-team-player,

not-a-reliable-runner variety.
She's trouble of the devious,

manipulative, too-f***ing-hot-for-her-own good variety.
She's the kind of girl who causes trouble merely by existing,
and then makes sure to cause more."

That girl is no other than Olivia Finnegan. A runner, a transfer from UT.

"They are all looking at him like he's
Prince Charming and Christian Grey rolled into one.
He could pull down his pants right now and
half of them would drop to their kneels."

He is no other than Will Langstorm. Coach of women's cross country team.

So, there's something off with Olivia. The past that is a mystery.
:Olivia is her own worst enemy, with a past she can’t seem to escape, and the last person she wants help from is a cocky track coach she can never seem to please.

So they can't stand each other. Denial at its best.

Now that I am watching from a distance, I'll admit that he's ridiculously hot. Just his stride is sexy. His tousled brown hair, the hollows under his cheekbones, the upper lip. He’s cocky and it only makes him more appealing. I sort of hate us both for that fact.
He grins. "Morning, ladies.”
"Morning, Coach," they sing in unison. I remain silent. They're all looking at him like he's Prince Charming and Christian Grey rolled into one. He could pull down his pants right now and half of them would drop to their knees. No wonder he's such a dick.

It's really funny how Olivia hates Will and attracted to him neverthelast XD
At least they got one common ground, hating each other's guts and attracted to each other

“That girl.
I’m still kind of smiling when she leaves. When I realize this, I wipe it clean from my face. I cannot allow myself to get sucked in by Olivia Finnegan. She’s already got half the men at this school watching her every move like she’s a wet dream come to life. I refuse to join her cheering section.”

But Will has a girlfriend.
(is it spoiler? sorry guys)

So, it's kind of forbidden love story and so my kind of book. It is good. Fun. Exciting. Sad. Not to heartbreaking extent but I think maybe a little? My heart breaks a little when.... (it's real spoiler) so, just go read it guys.

It'd just be a little over a year. You could ask me to wait. you could ask me right now and I'd do it. Gladly. But you're not going to, are you?

That's why we're perfect together. You never speak and I never shut up. You're so lucky you found me.

Breaking Her (Love is War #2) Quotes, Excerption and Review by R.K Lilley

Betrayal.
True Love.
All reveals in Breaking Her

SO it turns out Dante didn't break up with her because he wants to. END.
I will zip my mouth, tie my hands (to stop writing about how, why, what) lol.

There's only one moment I found a waste.
Anton : Hollywood good-looking, versatile, ever changing but polished to gleaming, with perfect teeth, handsome features, and total control over every muscle in his face.
And Demi.
I thought there will be something about Demi and Anton in the second book... something something.

But I quite not impressed with book 2.

BASTIAN.
Ok, I might give away some spoilers but a little spoiler never hurt anyone right?

Bastian... we all have our doubts that Bastian might have feelings for Scarlett but this thing he did for Scarlett is ridiculous and total outrageous. :/

DANTE
“We both know this too well.  There have been times where I was so angry with you that I didn't think I ever wanted to set eyes on you again."
He continued.  "I can be manipulative, and I know I've done some things you don't agree with, things you don't understand.  Things that sorry does not, and will not, cover.  I know that at times your faith in me has been lost.”
“But search your heart, angel, and tell me, and yourself, if you believe that any of my actions, no matter how messed up, or misguided, no matter how unforgivable they may have been . . . Ask yourself, do you truly believe that any of the things I did weren't for you?  We can disagree on my methods, but do you have any doubts that what I did, I did to protect you?”

He got my heart with this. This is just so beautiful. He might be messed up, misguided and unforgivable, it's all for her. All for his one true love of life. /canIhaveonelikehim/iknowicant/thereisonlyonelikeDante/sob/sobs/

There is nothing to say further about Breaking Her. Because as soon as you're done with the first book, you are compelled to read the second and you will know.
The story of true love, friends, betrayal and ruins.
We will see the brilliant quotes now, shall we?

Love changes you. No matter how strong you are, it makes you stronger. No matter how weak you are, it makes you weaker. No matter how hard you are to conquer, it will bring you to your knees.

I’m tired of hating you … When all my heart has ever needed is to love you.

In three words I can sum up everything I've learned about life. It goes on. - Robert Frost

What matters most is how well you walk through the fire. - Charles Bukowski

Whatever, I give up. Men were from Mars, and Mars was stupid.

One Last Lie Reviews and Excerption by ROB KAUFMAN

I cursed like a billion times while reading thissssss booooook. Oh yeah, warning tho, this book is M/M Romance (YAOI/GAY).

It was supposed to be... I dunno what I expect but this? This exceeds every expectation I had after seeing the cover or the summary. I am a big fan of M/M Romance and also a big fan of thriller/mystery. So it's not strange that this book is on the top of my TBR list.

So, there's this Jonathan, Philip and Angela. So, Jon and Philip wanted to have a child together and they need a womb. Philip and Angela are like friends from college so... Angela happened to be the womb they are looking for.
Philip thought that the womb from his friend is better than that of some strangers. That's when they're wrong.

“Jonathan walked toward Philip, who met him in the middle of the room. “So we’ve made a decision?”
Philip touched his hand. “Yes, Remi on Fifty Third.”
“No, Dumbo. I meant about having a child.”
“I know what you meant. And yes, we’ve definitely made a decision. At least a phase one decision.”
“Let’s hope it’s the right one.” Jonathan said, getting up to look out the window again. The grayness of the clouds had darkened and wind currents blew strands of black vapor across the sky. “If I were superstitious, I’d say these clouds are telling us something.”
He felt the warmth of Philip’s hand on the back of his neck. “You’re not superstitious, you’re paranoid.” Philip laughed.
“Is there a difference?” asked Jonathan.”
“You tell me,” Philip quipped.
Jonathan shrugged his shoulders, wishing he knew the answer.

Jonathan is... he knew something is up. He knew something is wrong. But Angela is so nice. At first, anyway. Things got messed up.
What I liked about this book is, the writing. It makes me not stop reading, keep the curiosity up.

Angela remained motionless behind the glass storm door, even after Philip walked up the steps and reached the door. From inside the car, Jonathan watched Philip’s head and arms moving and felt his muffled voice vibrate against the car window. Still inside the car, he opened the door slightly to hear the conversation.
“But I’ve been waiting for you for over an hour, Philip. You promised you’d be here.” Angela sounded like a spoiled child who didn’t get the bicycle she wanted for Christmas.”
“I know, Angie. I’m sorry. Like I said, we got held up at the house with all the snow and everything. Cut us a break, okay?”
Jonathan listened carefully. There was no response from Angela and he knew he had to help Philip appease her. Hormones, my ass. She’s nuts. He jumped out of the SUV and slammed the door behind him, hoping coffee and donuts would help bring her back to earth.

Angela start making troubles. Then, regrets started.
I just want to say: This is not just some erotica gay novels. It's something deep. Something thrilling. And if you hadn't read that book, you should and it will make you understand the sentence "Don't trust everyone except yourself."

It Ends With Us Review, Quotes and Excerption by Colleen Hoover

It's no secret that I am the biggest fan of CoHo. I read each and every one of her novels.
But as soon as I started reading It Ends With Us, I knew this book is not gonna be one of my favorites.
I really had never thought that would happen. But yeah, that happens.
REALLY NEVER WITH COLEEN HOOVER, she's like a goddess to me. I am so frustrated and so disappointed at first few chapters. Then, the plot revealed more.
Here comes the part I stopped complaining of whatever comments I was having. (When Lily met Atlas again/kyaaaaaa/Iamsorrythisisspoiler)

This book is great.
She opened her heart out to write this one. I have to give her this one. How things turned out, is very amusing.

This is the story of Lily, Atlas and Ryle.
Ryle - Neurosurgeon, career oriented, playboy, rich.
Atlas - The homeless boy who Lily used to know in childhood. Her very first love.
Lily - complicated.

Yeah ~ Lily is complicated. She said Atlas is very important and he's the reason why she's in Boston. Then, she got attracted to Ryle pretty fast. That's just my exterior judgement. She's jobless but her father just died. She hated (strongly dislike) her abusive father.
There's nothing to boast about this book. This book is not about plots, pretty words nor the characters. It's about choices and naked truths.

Choices we made and for them, consequences we face.

Yes, not typical Colleen Hoover book that I love but the amazing one that I admired. I love her more because of that book. It seemed unique at the same time, too unrealistic. Colleen Hoover to be this level of unrealistic? That is why I was so taken aback. But considering the turns of events, it is level of acceptable.

“What happened?” he asks.
I shake my head. “Nothing.”
His eyes are narrow, still ice blue but somehow burning with fire. “You’re lying, Lily.”
I muster enough of a smile to get me by. “It was an accident.”
Atlas laughs, but then his face falls flat. “Leave him.”
Leave him?

Atlas is.... what is Atlas asking Lily to do???

“He walks around me to his bedroom door and he locks it. He flips off the light, leaving only a lamp on, and then takes off his shirt as he walks toward me.“What are you doing?”He tosses his shirt on a chair and then slips off his shoes. “We’re going to sleep.”I glance at his bed. Then at him. “Right now?”He nods and walks over to me. In one swift movement, he lifts my dress up and over my head, until I’m standing in the middle of his bedroom floor in my bra and panties. I cover myself, but he doesn’t even look twice. He pulls me toward the bed and lifts the covers for me to crawl in. As he’s walking over to his side of the bed he says, “It’s not like we haven’t slept together before without having sex. Piece of cake.”

HOW SEXY IS RYLE????????? COULD YOU IMAGINE?

He takes a deep breath and then says, “I don’t know what happens next, Lily.”He does. He knows. He just doesn’t want it to happen, because we both know how much it hurts to say goodbye to each other.I look away from him because seeing the look on his face right now cuts straight to my heart. I fold my arms over my chest and stare at the floor. “I have a lot to work through, Atlas. A lot. And I’m scared I won’t be able to do it with you in my life.”

IT is sooooooooo sad. I know. I know. You can't assume from those excerptions you know how it works. *tips of a iceberg* that's what they are. ;)

hellllllllllllllllllloooooooo #QUOTES time \O^O/

There is no such thing as bad people. We’re all just people who sometimes do bad things

“In the future . . . if by some miracle you ever find yourself in the position to fall in love again . . . fall in love with me.”

I feel like everyone fakes who they really are, when deep down we're all equal amounts of screwed up. Some of us are just better at hiding it than others.

You are my wife. I’m supposed to be the one who protects you from the monsters. I’m not supposed to be one.

Sometimes the things that matter to you most are also the things that hurt you the most.

The Bird and the Sword Reviews and Excerption by Amy Harmon

The Teller
The Changer
The Spinner
The Healer

The Teller - who have the power of words
The Changer - who can take any form of life
The Spinner - who spun and spun one things to another or from another
The Healer - who mend and harmonize things out of love

The story itself is precious. The plot, the words, the sentences, the feelings, the emotions, the characters, everything just fall into place with harmony - to describe with one word - Incredible

How could this story be stand-alone? This story should have a sequel! Or trilogy!!! Or Saga?? I don't know, what I know is I want more. It brings me joy, it brings me tears. It makes me love Amy Harmon more.
It started with Lark's power, Lark's mother and the King. Everyone - including me - thinks this story starts with Lark's mother, but no. (omg is this considered as spoiler?) But I won't tell you why or what. You'll learn at the very end of the book.

The King - merciless King - killed Lark's mother in front of Lark. In addition to that mother being killed in front of her trauma, Lark mistook her mother prophecy as a curse, everyone mistook it, even her father. (Because that era was where people hate witchcraft and thought witches are evil and monsters). So what's the curse? Read the book ~

Let's see what it makes of, shall we?

Twenty riders were gathered in the wide courtyard of the keep, and my husband was bowing and genuflecting when I arrived with Lark trailing behind my skirts. For one so disdainful of the king, my lord was quick to kiss the king’s boots. Fear made weaklings of us all.
“Lady Meshara!” the king boomed, and my husband rose and turned to me, relief in his face.
I curtsied deeply, as was required, and Lark mimicked my salutation, catching the king’s eye.
“What have we here? Your daughter, Meshara?”
I nodded once, but didn’t offer her name. Names had power and I didn’t want him to have hers. There had been a time when I’d considered vying for the king’s attention—I was the granddaughter of the Lord of Enoch and of noble birth, and I’d been drawn to the handsome King Zoltev of Degn. That was before I saw him cut off the hands of an old woman caught spinning wheat into long ribbons of gold. I’d begged my father to arrange a marriage with Lord Corvyn instead. Corvyn was weak, but he wasn’t evil, though I wondered if weakness wasn’t just as dangerous. The weak allowed evil to flourish.

Meshara is Lark's mother. She is a teller too. So the story started with her mother dead, (yes it wasn't a spoiler) in front of Lark on that day.
Then, if you haven't notice, family feud is one hell of famous forbidden sort of love (Romeo & Juliet??) Yeah, the King killed Meshara. But this is the story of Lark and the King's son "Tiras".
Let's see... there's something wrong with Tiras (well, that is not a spoiler but arguable)

The door of the king’s chambers burst open, and Kjell erupted into the room, making me bolt upright, sleep abandoned, the eagle forgotten.
“Where is he?” Kjell growled, as if I’d spun the king into gold while he slept. I shook my head helplessly and extended my arms, indicating the empty chamber.

Yes, there's one important character. Important not to the story but me// omgggg Kjell //
See, why would Lark be in the King's chamber? And it seemed obvious that she can't speak! (Aha! Spoiler!!! Oh not really XD)
Remember Lark is a teller not a healer???
Its gonna be a little bit confusing here,

The door closed softly, and I met the king’s gaze. He looked as troubled as I felt. He wasn’t writhing in horrible pain like he’d been the night he’d been shackled. He seemed more ill than wracked in pain, and I wondered again what was wrong.
“Put your hands on me,” he instructed softly. “Like you did before.”
I shook my head, stalling, wanting to understand. I pointed at his stomach and tilted my head in question. He shook his head. I placed my fingers on his throat and raised a brow. He shook his head once more. I touched his temples, his ears, his arms and his legs, and he finally spoke, answering my question.
“It hurts everywhere,” he explained softly.
“There is fire beneath my skin.”
Suddenly there was fire beneath my skin too, and I felt the heat warm my cheeks and flood my chest. Last time he was hardly conscious. This time, his eyes clung to my face making the act terribly intimate. I was already sitting beside him on the bed, but I pressed my hands to his heart and closed my eyes. My hands were trembling, and he pressed his hands over them, weighing them down.
“You are afraid,” he murmured. I nodded, not opening my eyes.
“Are you afraid of me?”
I nodded again. Yes, I was afraid of him. I was afraid that I wouldn’t be able to help him, or worse, that I would, and I would mark myself a Healer. I would mark myself for death.
His breath caught and his back arched in agony, his question forgotten. I pressed him back to the bed, smoothing my hands over him, trying to focus.
Pain be gone, illness leave, skin is cool, sleep now, breathe, I instructed, pushing the words into his skin through my fingertips.

Fire is gone,
Fever leaves,
Health in the marrow,
Rest now, breathe.

There, there.
Like a poem? Or a song? With a rhythm?
I'm not sure but I definitely love this! How did she come up with that? I love Amy Harmon <3
Read this book, you're not gonna regret this. NEVER gonna!!!

Easy Quotes, Excerption and Review by Tammara Webber

Contours of the Heart.
As soon as I saw that title, I decided to read that series. Yeah, book title counts. For me, book title is the way to tell how creative the author is. Yes, she is creative.
But... it's the writing. Not my type. Not that the writing, it's the sequential writing. This book hardly give me a emotional-ride, let alone a roller-coaster.
The plot is nice.

  • Second chance.
  • Getting Over.
  • Brave.
  • Choosing.
Yes, there's one pretty twist. But not so brilliant cause I see through it. ;)
It's actually a good page turner. I also like how the author is being witty and snapped back, and how Landon flirts little with Jacqueline. (I am a slave for words, I know)

I guess, you might want to see the interactions between them right??

Landon,We were together almost three years. I never saw it coming. I followed him here to school, instead of trying for a performing arts school. My orchestra teacher nearly had a stroke when I told him. He pleaded with me to audition at Oberlin or Julliard, but I didn’t. I can’t blame anyone but myself. I trusted my future to my HS boyfriend, like an idiot. Now I’m stuck somewhere I’m not supposed to be. I don’t know if I just believed that much in him, or that little in myself. Either way, pretty freaking stupid, huh? So there’s my weepy little story.Thank you for the article.JW

Jacqueline,Not stupid. Overly trusting, maybe, but that reflects on his lack of trustworthiness, not on your intelligence. As for being somewhere you’re not supposed to be – maybe you’re here for a reason, or there is no reason. As a scientist, I lean toward the latter. Either way, you’re off the hook. You made a decision; now you make the best of it. That’s all you can do, right? On that note, I’m off to study for a statistical mechanics quiz. Who knows, maybe I’ll be able to prove scientifically that your ex isn't worthy of you, and you're exactly where you should be.LM

/sigh/ yes, they are emailing each other. Because Landon isn't Jacqueline's friend. He is assistant of J's professor. He's giving her assignments and help her cover for the exam she missed. AND THEY NEVER MET OUTSIDE!!!!

Heyyyy, don't forget about Lucas yet!!!

“Hey, Jacqueline.” That wasn’t Benji’s voice. The seats were bolted to the floor, with right-handed desktops. Lucas leaned slightly over the side of Benji’s, pushing into the very margin of my space. My breath caught, and I focused on letting it out, appearing unaffected. “Oh, hi.”
He bit his lower lip once, briefly. “I guess you didn’t notice the phone number on your coffee cup.”I glanced at my phone, sitting on the edge of my textbook. “I noticed.” I watched his reaction, knowing I was practically telling him to chase me.
He smiled, his light eyes crinkling slightly at the corners, and I tried not to swoon visibly. “I see. Turnabout is fair play. How ’bout you give me yours?”
I arched a brow at him. “Why? Do you need help in economics?”He bit his lip in earnest that time, stifling a laugh. “Hardly. What makes you think that?”
I frowned. Could I be attracted to a guy who cared so little about doing well in class? “I guess it’s not my business. He leaned his chin into the palm of his hand. The tips of his fingers were tinged with gray, probably from drawing with that pencil sitting over his ear. “I appreciate your concern, but I want your number for reasons completely unrelated to economics.”
I picked up my phone and found his number, and sent him a text that said: Hi.“Dude, you’re in my seat.” Benji’s tone was matter-of-fact, but unperturbed.
Lucas’s phone vibrated in his hand, and he smiled as my text popped up, giving him my number. “Thanks.” He unfolded himself from the chair and addressed Benji. “Sorry, man.”“No prob.” Benji was one of the most easygoing people I’d ever met.
His attitude said slacker, but I’d gotten a look at the midterm crammed into his notebook—he’d made a high B, and for all his talk about skipping class and sleeping in, he’d yet to miss one. After Lucas sauntered back to his seat, Benji leaned over the edge of his desktop, closer than Lucas had. “So what was that about?” His eyebrows rocked up and down and I tried not to grin.

And here we go, quotes ^_^

Choosing to be with you, isn't a difficult decision, Jacqueline...It's easy. Incredibly easy.

Love is not the absence of logic
but logic examined and recalculated
heated and curved to fit
inside the contours of the heart

As for being somewhere you're not supposed to be--Maybe you're here for a reason, or there is no reason.

I noticed you the first week. Not just because of how pretty you are, though of course, that played into it. It was the way you lean onto your elbows when you 're listening in class, when something catches your interest. And when you laugh, it's never to get attention, it's just-laughter. The way you obssevively tuck your hair behind your ear on the left side, but let the right side fall down like a screen. And when you 're bored, you tap your foot soundlessly and move your fingers on the desktop like you 're playing an instrument. I wanted to sketch you.

The way he kissed me felt like a brand. Like he was tattooing himself under my skin.

Veiled Innocence Excerption, Review and Quotes by Ella Frank

THIS BOOK DESERVED 5 FULL STARS. IT IS HOT !!!! THE WHOLE ANOTHER LEVEL OF HOT! HOT the word doesn't even cover the hotness level of this book.
And a little confession is that I have a thing for blue eyes and forbidden love.
Ugghhhhh... scenes, writing, I AM TELLING you, everyone should read this book at least ONCE!

Addison deals with the broken-ness of her somehow, in a way she could, in a way no one would try to. She's like, she took the blame of her little brother death on her own not that anyone in her life try to lift the blame out of her.
It's... major heart-breaking. I... I can't find enough words to describe, I will not be able to describe it enough BUT Ella Frank, she can. Ella Frank... the way she wrote erotica is ... adhjkgkdjfvdijfdlfdk.

Beautiful is what Addison Lancaster is.
Hot is also Addison Lancaster.
Tick Tick Tok... Tick Tick Tok... always counting the second. Always trying not to be late. But she stopped counting when she walked into his class. She kept being late for his class, History class.

Mr. McKendrick is what everyone called him. Mr. McKendrick is History teacher, her history teacher. But Greyson isn't. Greyson is the man she slept with. No matter how much he denied that he is her teacher, not her lover... he can't hide his attraction towards her or his erection because of her. Moving back into town because of his sick father, Greyson McKendrick failed to be the teacher his father was, failed to be the man of honor like his father wanted him to be, all because of Addison Lancaster.

This is enough for character introduction. You guys already figure what's gonna happen. ok correction. You THINK you already figure what's gonna happen but no. No. That's why this book deserves 5 stars. The writing style is like... Like I'm watching a movie, a thriller one. So, let's see why I am fussing so much about this book, eh?

“I blinked down at Addison and was reminded that by law she was still a girl and ultimately…
“You are my student, Addison.”
As she nodded, I wondered where we would go from here.
“So, what do you want?”
Before I knew what I was saying, “I want Brandon gone” was out of my mouth and hovering between us.
She lifted up and kissed the corner of my mouth. “That’s easy.”
“I want you to graduate.”
Kissing the other corner, she promised, “That I can do.”
I tangled my fingers through the back of her hair and held her in place as I looked her in the eye and made it very clear. “I want to help you.”
“I want that too.”
She touched my cheek, and as her eyes fluttered closed and her black lashes swept her creamy skin, I couldn’t help but kiss it and confess, “I never want you to stop needing me.”
When her eyes opened, she softly kissed my mouth and asked, “Then what choice do you have left to make?”
She was right, what choice was there?
Right or wrong, it had already been made.”

It's when I squirm ahhhhhhhhhh >.<
Also that scene b e l o w . . .

“How old are you, again?”
As his eyebrow winged up, I wondered if maybe I should have broached that question differently.
“Thirty-two, why?”
“Who doesn’t have a digital camera?”
Grayson rolled his eyes and shook his head against the pillow. “I do own a digital camera. I just own a film camera too.”
Kneeling up, I brought the Nikon in front of my face until I was looking through the viewfinder at him.
“Don’t,” he said in a voice that was soft but adamant. His troubled expression reminded me that I was not the calming force in his life.
I was the exact opposite.
Moving the bulky camera aside, I asked, “Don’t..?”
“Don’t look too close.”
Lowering the Nikon, I touched the stubble on his jaw. “What are you afraid I’ll see?”
Without touching any part of my naked body, he still managed to slay me.
“Everything I’ve become.”

EVERYTHING HE HAD BECOME because of her T_T

“Grayson’s mouth returned to a serious line. I interlaced our fingers, not even caring that I was so extremely vulnerable when it came to this man.
“Why can’t I do this for you?”
“Do what?”
“Chase the monsters away.”
“Is that what I do?” he questioned, and I crawled on his lap.
Looping my arms around his neck, I kissed his cheek and whispered, “It’s okay. I understand.”
Pulling back slightly, he asked, “What’s okay? What do you understand?”
“That I’m your monster.”
He neither agreed nor disagreed with my words as he tumbled me back on the bed. We rolled over his sheets, and I quietly devoured my teacher, determined to have all of him—like any monster would.”

She thought she's bad for him.
Because she was made to believe that she was a destruction. My heart ached.
I almost cry.
But I didn't. Because I know, I somehow know Greyson won't..... (If I type this, if I type this, you will hate me forever for that spoilers so, I won't)
Time for quotes #_#

Boys think girls are like books. If the cover doesn't catch their eye, they won't bother to read what's inside.

No one ever told me that loving someone would feel like you were giving up every last part of yourself, but that's how I feel, Addison.
From the second I saw you, I was done. I gave it all to you. Something about you called to me, and I have never regretted you, even as I questioned us.

What is done out of love always takes place beyond good and evil.

I'm the catalyst in the destruction of my own happy ending.

JUST go read this book. SO EROTIC. SO ROMANTIC and SO.... full of feels <3

Before We Were Strangers Quotes Excerption and Review by Renee Carlino

If "Maybe Someday" by Colleen Hoover is my all time favorite, all time No.1, all time on top, THIS book comes in second. I mean by my preference, yes.
I am not comparing. AND there is no inferiority. I'm just trying to tell you how awesome this book is.
The plot is not impossible but could be consider as rare occasion. Really, because working towards our dreams could not be that easy.
This is the story of Matt and Grace. Matt's dad is rich with separate parents, love his mother dearly who was left by his dad. Grace, she was struggling. She got big family. She was on her own, she is 18 and she's already on her own.

They met.

They become friends.

Then, they feel more than just friends for each other.

Without knowing Matt got rich Dad, she loved him. She'd become the precious thing he found from his viewfinder. (yes, Matt wants to be a pro photographer.)

Not  knowing what she felt for him, he acts possessive around her. He'd support her anonymously. To become a cellist was her dream.

“The large box I had brought contained some of my favorite records, books, CDs, and photos. My best work from USC was matted inside a leather portfolio. Grace immediately grabbed it and began flipping through the pages. There were two long, narrow windows that bathed the room in sunlight, illuminating Grace’s face perfectly. It was as if the light was coming from her.

“Wow, this one is amazing. Is this your girlfriend?” She held up a photo of a gorgeous girl with devilish eyes, the curve of her naked body exposed.

“No, she wasn’t my girlfriend. Just a friend.” This was true, but it was also true that she had mouthed Do you want to fuck me? right before I snapped the photo while my friend—and her boyfriend—watched us silently. Like I said, USC wasn’t my scene.

“Oh,” she said quietly. “Well, it’s a great photo.”
“Thanks. The light in here is fantastic. Maybe I can take a couple of you?”

I saw her neck move as she swallowed. Her eyes widened and I realized she thought I wanted to photograph her naked. “Um, with your clothes on, of course.”

Her expression lightened. “Sure, I’d be happy to.” She continued to stare at the photograph.
“But I think I could model for you like this girl, if it’s done like this.” She turned her green eyes on me. “Maybe someday, after we’ve known each other for a while. You know, for the sake of art?” She smirked.
I tried not to picture her naked. “Yeah, for the sake of art.” And a work of art she was. She wore a man’s white dress shirt, the sleeves rolled up to the elbow, with the top two buttons open. Her pink toenails caught my eye before my gaze moved up to the skin peeking out from a hole in the knee of her jeans. I watched as she began to braid her long blonde hair over her shoulder. I couldn’t take my eyes off of her and she noticed, but instead of saying something rude she just smiled.”

They were made for each other!!!!! They are what every couple wants to be !!!!
K, let's just see another piece.

“It was coat weather, and as I watched him from across the street, his hands gripping the straps of his backpack, I thought I could see him shivering.
My heart skipped a beat; I swallowed. He smiled and I couldn’t help but return it, even though I wanted to ask him a million questions I knew I couldn’t. It was his life and we were friends. When it was time to cross, we walked toward each other and stopped in the middle of crosswalk.
“Where you headed?” he asked.
“Dinner.”
His eyes flitted down my body and back up to my eyes. In the three months I had known him, I had rarely worn anything nicer than sweats and ChapStick. There was a longing in his expression. “Let me walk you.” His teeth chattered, drawing my eyes to his full lips and unshaven jawline. I wanted to rub my face against them.
The light was about to turn, and we had to get out of the middle of the street. “You’re freezing, Matt. Just go home, I’ll be fine.”
We hurried across the street, shoulder to shoulder.”
“Where are you going to dinner?”
“The Thai place around the corner.”
His hands were deep in his pockets and his arms were pressed tight against his body. “I can walk you.”
“I don’t need you to walk me two blocks, Matt. I’m fine.”
A subtle grimace flashed on his face and then he took a step toward me, reached his hand out, and caressed my cheek, our bodies inches apart. He released a weak, frustrated breath. “Who’s taking you to dinner? . . . Grace?”
I peeked over Matt’s shoulder and saw Dan standing there, an inscrutable look on his face. Matt turned around and then turned back to me, his eyebrows arched. “Pornsake?” I didn’t like the humor in his tone.
I pushed him away. “Fuck you, Matt. I’m sure you can find something else to do. Isn’t there some big darkroom orgy you need to attend?”
“What?”
“I can smell rum on your breath.”
“So what? I had a shot with my photo buddies. I was coming home to see if you wanted to hang out.”
“I can’t. I have plans. Bye, Matt.” I turned around and didn’t look back.”

When the ideal couple is having a falling out T_T
But no, that is not how they go separated. They met 10 years or so after (This wasn't the spoiler)

I don't know what makes you rate the book but for me, it's choice of words and writing. Also obviously cox of storyline. But this could be as any other love story, but not the sequencing of events or the writing.

The past doesn’t belong to us anymore, and the future is just a fantasy, never guaranteed. But the present is ours to own. The only way we can realize that fantasy is if we embrace the now.

We were victims of bad timing. But here we are again.

And in that moment, you realize how little control you have over your own destiny. From the time you're born, you have no control; you can't choose your parents, and, unless you're suicidal, you can't choose your death. The only thing you can do is choose the person you love, be kind to others, and make your brutally short stint on earth as pleasant as possible.

Poetry is just evidence of life. If your life is burning well, poetry is just the ash.

You can’t re-create the first time you promise to love someone or the first time you feel loved by another. You cannot relive the sensation of fear, admiration, self-consciousness, passion, and desire all mixed into one because it never happens twice. You chase it like the first high for the rest of your life. It doesn’t mean you can’t love another or move on; it just means that the one spontaneous moment, the split second that you took the leap, when your heart was racing and your mind was muddled with What ifs?—that moment—will never happen the same way again. It will never feel as intense as the first time. At least, that’s the way I remember it. That’s why my mother always said we memorialize our past. Everything seems better in a memory.

I felt it for Grace before I even had a name for it. I might have said the word a million times, but it sounded different now that I meant it. When I thought about what we had, it didn’t matter that it was just friendship. I loved her.

WORTH EVERY SECOND! I PROMISE !!!

The husband's Secret Review, Quotes and Excerption by LIANE MORIARTY

I know, I know.
I only have been reviewing ROMANCE books and some EROTICA.
Here,
At the start of this book, I thought "why did I start reading this, was I out of my mind?" Because, it bored the crap out of me. I rarely abandon books, I said what I mean.

This book isn't focus on only one couple. It's more like ‘everything is connected’ in an awesome way. Rachel, Cecilia, Tess these three women deal with their lost and their husband, their life which are connecting in a way that is kinda complicated. I dun think I can explain their relation in a short statement nor paragraph. Maybe an essay would do. But reading this book, unraveling its secret one by one is what I called JOY which can only retrieve by reading not by watching the movie or by listening others retelling. You can choose not to read the book but you will be missing out the fun. Because it's brilliant.

One of the woman, Tess, story of Tess is... here we go.

'So this realisation,’ said Tess. ‘This realisation that you two –’ She stopped. Swallowed.
‘We want you to know that nothing has actually happened,’ interrupted Felicity.
‘We haven’t – you know,’ said Will.
“You haven’t slept together.’ Tess saw that they were both proud of this, that they almost expected her to admire them for their constraint.
‘Absolutely not,’ said Will.
‘But you want to,’ said Tess. She was almost laughing at the absurdity of it. ‘That’s what you’re telling me, right? You want to sleep together.’
They must have kissed. That was worse than if they’d slept together. Everyone knew that a stolen kiss was the most erotic thing in the world.
The blotches on Felicity’s neck began to slink up her jawline. She looked like she was coming down with a rare infectious disease.
‘We’re so sorry,’ said Will again. ‘We tried so hard to – to make it not happen.’
‘We really did,’ said Felicity. ‘For months, you know, we just...’
“Months? This has been going on for months!’
‘Nothing has actually gone on,’ intoned Will, as solemnly as if he was in church.
‘Well, something has gone on,’ said Tess. ‘Something rather significant has gone on.’ Who knew she was capable of speaking with such hardness? Each word sounded like a block of concrete.
‘Sorry,’ said Will. ‘Of course – I just meant – you know.’
Felicity pressed her fingertips to her forehead and began to weep. ‘Oh Tess.’
Tess’s hand went out of its own accord to comfort her. They were closer than sisters. She always told people that. Their mothers were twins, and Felicity and Tess were only children, born within six months of each other. They’d done everything together.

SO, her husband and her sister (also her bff: she's introvert so, BFF of introvert means a lot to the introvert). And she moved to where her mother's resided. It's where she met Cecilia who went the same school.
Cecilia, is also dealing with her husband. She recently found an old letter for her by her husband years ago.

And Rachel who can't get over the death of her daughter long time ago which she thinks her daughter was murdered by someone she knew. That someone is also had a crush on Tess, once loved her, now that she is in same town, they are kinda... you know the pattern ;)

Falling in love was easy.anyone could fall. It was holding on that was tricky

None of us ever know all the possible courses our lives could have and maybe should have taken. It's probably just as well. Some secrets are meant to stay secret forever. Just ask Pandora.

Perhaps nothing was ever “meant to be.” There was just life, and right now, and doing your best. Being a bit “bendy".

You could try as hard as you could to imagine someone else’s tragedy—drowning in icy waters, living in a city split by a wall—but nothing truly hurts until it happens to you. Most of all, to your child.

A son is a son until he takes him a wife; a daughter is a daughter for all of her life

Here's my favorite, (precious even) one.
Her goodness had limits. She could have easily gone her whole life without knowing those limits, but now she knew exactly where they lay.
You're doing a favor to yourself by reading this book. I promise you AN EPIC ENDING !!!

The Imperfection of Swans Review and Excerption by Brandon Witt

THIS BOOK IS AMAZING ! 4.5 STARS OUT OF 5 STARS.Oh and it's MM ROMANCE *DOWNLOAD PAGE* ;)
Well, of course, personally, I love the book cover. Who doesn't like those compelling eyes? I do!!

Enough about cover, more about insides.
Hey before all this, I gotta warn you that you be patient. It's full of emotions and feelings if you let the book, the words in. Don't throw the book away just because the start is a little slow or I dunno I wouldn't say "boring" exactly but it's a little close? Well, let's learn the characters.

Kevin, a perfect little man with perfect career but he wanted to purse his childhood dream of opening the Wedding Dress shop. He's got two lesbian mothers and a BIG family (not even joking)
And Casper, with the name of ghost, I know but he's nice. He bakes. And he is what he gave example about those who with beautiful insides and no so beautiful outside.

Anywayyyyy, they met.
Hey, I do no believe in fate or whatsoever crap, but their kind of fate is the one I'd like to have.
Kevin is perfect, handsome but sadly, he's broken. You'll learn.
So, the brilliant part is that Kevin found a perfect place to open his shop and somehow Casper is his business partner. Let's read some of their moment.

Walking over to one of the larger piles of rubbish that was still left, Kevin bent and picked up the box of trash bags.
“Come on. If it gets too bad, you can just do some meditation and make the stench go away. Retreat to some higher plane to rise above it all. Or something like that.”
Casper couldn’t suppress a laugh. “You know, for being so hot, you can kinda be a smartass sometimes.”
They both froze, Casper’s words hanging in the air.
He felt his face burn, and he was certain Kevin noticed. “Did I say hot? I meant short. For being so short, you can kinda be a smartass sometimes.”
Kevin took the out. Thank God.
“Short? You’re one to talk. We are about the same height.”
“Actually, I think we’re exactly the same height.” Casper slipped his heel out of his shoe, using his other foot for leverage.
“Let’s take off our shoes and stand back to back and find out.”
Kevin’s face crinkled in disgust. “You’re insane if you think I’m walking around here without shoes on. Gross. Plus, I’m not five years old.”

It's when they are cleaning the workplace. They are cute together. I know they are. Casper is a little nerdy and slender and cute kind of guy. He's got positiveness that Kevin don't have.
Oh and, I think I forgot to tell you that Kevin is not exactly single. He is divorced and well, his ex-husband and him caught in the ACT by Casper. (OMG right?)

He’d grown so accustomed to having silence, that at first Casper thought the noises were coming from outside.
And if he were going to be awakened by noises, these were a good kind of noises to have. He lay there for a bit, the sounds making him hard. It had been a while since he’d been involved in those kind of noises.
For a second, a spike of terror shot through him. Someone was in the brownstone! He shoved that aside instantly, feeling stupid.
People didn’t break into a store to fuck.
Fairly quickly, given the foggy, sleepy state of his mind, he realized who it must be. Though in all honesty, he couldn’t picture Kevin coming to the building to fuck either. Casper had him pegged for a satin sheets and rose petals kind of guy. Newly washed and starched satin sheets at that.
Maybe it was his sleep-addled brain that caused him to choose what he did next. Maybe it was because he’d been starved for sex for way too long. Brent didn’t qualify as sex, not really. Maybe it was just because he could.
Slipping out of the sleeping bag, he tugged up his boxers, felt around until he found his glasses, and then padded toward the stairs. He’d already learned by now which boards squeaked, and he easily avoided them. Same with the stairs.
Luck was on his side.
Casper was able to get a fourth of the way down the stairway, low enough to be able to see through the banister, without being seen.
It took all of his willpower to not gasp.
A blond giant had Kevin pressed up against the far wall. At least, he assumed it was Kevin; the blond blocked all view, save for a smaller man’s feet spread apart on the wood floor and hands pressed against the brick wall.

oookaayyyy!!!! enough with the scene :P
SO, yes, this book is good. YOU should totally read that. It will make you cry at least twice! You can ask why but I won't answer. What's the fun in that right? :)

The Life List Review, Quotes and EXCERPTION by Lori Nelson Spielman

So this story is about a girl who lost her mother and betrayed when she found out her mother left her nothing. All life, she's been comfortable. Her mother is a great woman which took care of everything.
And her mother left her CEO position to her sister-in-law, Catherine, like I said, felt betrayed.
I mean who did this? You left your company to your daughter when you died, except your daughter has zero potential for CEO position of your company.
So you guys might think it's because Brett and her mom have a bad relationship. But that's not it. In fact, her mother loves her dearly. Her mother died of cancer so, the death wasn't unexpected.

Brett, she used to have a list when she was a kid. The life she's living (with her boyfriend Andrew) isn't the one she once wanted.
There, from the book

“I glance over at my sleeping boyfriend. Why have I given up on the life I once wanted? Is that little girl still rambling around inside me, feeling unworthy? Is my mother right? Have I forsaken my own dreams in a desperate attempt to win Andrew’s approval—the approval I never received from my father? No, that’s ridiculous. I decided years ago my father’s approval meant nothing to me. So why haven’t I fought for my dreams? Because Andrew had different aspirations, and I chose to follow his? No, that’s just the bighearted, self-sacrificing version of me I like to imagine. As much as I hate to admit it, there’s something else, something much less noble …”

So yes, Andrew is her current boyfriend.
And turns out he isn't the love of her life.

It's pretty interesting. Actually, it's like a page-turner. The book makes me guess what is gonna happen, make you curious...
And if you're searching for something going steadily, not a major heart-broken dark theme, this book is your light read. You totally read it for once. This book encouraged me that I could be like her, do something passionate. Something that I wanted to do not something I do because that something doesn't have to go out of my comfort zone.
And there, quotes, lovely quotes :)

Love is the one thing on which you should never compromise

There will be another sky, my love, just you wait

Roosevelt once said, “Do something every day that scares you.” Continue to push yourself to do those things that scare you, darling. Take those risks and see where you land, for they are the very things that make this journey worthwhile.
