The Spiral Down (#2 The Fall Up) Review, Quotes, Excerption by Aly Martinez

If you read this book, you're bound to love Henry and go crazy over Evan.

The first book, The Fall Up is not my taste but I continued this series because of Henry. He's such an amazing person and I would love to know about him more. Then, I got into the mess of this heated romance and...

/phew/

The writing is good. It's funny and sensuous. Nothing to comment. It's just great. But what's better is Evan Roth...

"you can't cure ignorance with violence. They need to understand that love is love. Between a man and a woman, a man and a man or a woman and a woman. And babe, I know you consider yourself gay, but you know how I feel about labels. I sure as hell don't want the boys growing up thinking it's okay to cast them on others."

Why is he like this? I fall for him pretty hard for saying this.

I tagged this book under celebrity romance. Henry Alexander is a star, everyone loves him and it looks like he's getting everything he wants in his perfect little life. But that was not true. Henry was lonely and he constantly is searching for the love he wants. The love that won't leave him after seeing his ugly side. And because of too many failures in finding his one true love, he started to go for the straight men.
He thought Evan was straight when he pursued him.

And the story goes...

Life is a struggle, but it’s who you chose to take on the journey with you that matters the most.

I didn’t understand how, after all these years of avoiding men, I was suddenly enamored by one I barely even knew. I didn’t understand how he had enraptured me with a single stare from across a crowded arena. I didn’t know why the heat from his flames consumed me like never before. I didn’t know why my mind was screaming at me to run as far away as I could, but my body absolutely refused.

I miss him. His laugh. His randomness. The way he can captivate me from across a room. The rush I felt when we were together.

Lost in Scotland Review, Excerption and Quotes by Hilaria Alexander

The first book I read in November !!!
Because Colleen Hoover read it and complimented it just like "The Sea of Tranquility"

This book is about a romance between a makeup artist and an actor. Sam is that makeup artist and Hugh is that actor.

"I wanted to see how the LA girl would fare in Scotland, with its mysterious beauty and harsh climate. Set in the fictional town of St. Martin, Lost in Scotland has every element of a good romance: a hot Scot to die for, a feisty British BFF, gossip, revenge, Hollywood drama and a grand finale." That's outright came from author, herself.

Sam ran away from her hometown after breaking up with her famous actor-boyfriend and she needed air. She got herself a job at as a makeup artist and met Hugh at work.

A sneak peak of Hugh's thoughts on Sam ;)
Things were good for all of two days. Granted, it was neither my fault nor Sam’s. The circumstances sucked, and it only got worse.
I didn’t seem to have a choice when it came to Sam.
For years, I had avoided any distraction and only focused on work, but now I couldn’t push my thoughts of her away. I knew this wasn’t the time to chase after someone, yet my heart wasn’t listening.

The book is real fun. It's easy and interesting read. I think I only spent two nights on that book. Sam could be a little stupid in the end but overall, the whole book is good.
So, Check out the quotes ~

Hugh Macleod, you're everything to me. You know that, right? The world might know you because you're gorgeous and good at what you do, but you are so much more.

The power of music was undeniable. A good song could make me feel stronger, empowered, and suddenly I felt able to sweep away most of my feelings of homesickness.

It was a daily struggle to be so close to her and not being able to do anything. Even when we aren't together, I could see her.

The Fall Up Review, Quotes and Excerption by Aly Martinez

We are not supposed to judge a book by its cover. Well, I have myself to blame (in my defense, the first few chapters are my kind of book). Because this cover is really pretty, so I thought maybe I am really gonna win it big.

The story starts like this...
“IT WAS RAINING.
Isn’t that the way all great love stories start? And also usually end? The midnight air was cool against my skin as I stared off that bridge...”

But the first few chapters are done and the another few chapters are continuing and the only thing that grows is my disappointment. I expect so much but then my high hopes for "The Fall Up" are crushed as the story continued.

Levee ; The super hot celebrity who is also the America's sweetheart is suicidal.
Sam ; The stranger who saved her?

Interesting characters but... just can't relate.
But for the lots, it is happy ending. I might only be the in the minority group that doesn't like this book, so... you guys could try but I had warned ya...

The second book is REALLY good which is MM Romance.

Henry didn’t find it humorous. “Damn it. Why is heterosexuality such a cock block?”
“It really is.”
And it really was for Henry. He was tall, with a lean, muscular body that even I couldn't help but notice on occasion. Women adored him even though he was openly gay. However, Henry's biggest problem in the love department was his obsession with straight men. I couldn’t even count the number of times Henry’s heart had been broken by a guy who he’d convinced to give him a chance but ultimately went right back to women.

Quotes ~

I was falling fast for that man, and I could only hope I was taking him with me.

Don't tell me you're fine. Don't tell me you have to go. Don't tell me that everything is okay. Just tell me the truth your eyes are so desperate for me to hear.

My life was fine. My job was fine. My house was fine. My friends were fine. God, I was sick of fucking fine. I needed something... anything... to be great.

PresLocke Series Review by Ella Frank & Brooke Blaine, Download Links

Not satisfied (actually very disappointing series) from Ella Frank

I am already a fan of Ella Frank. Her "TEMPTATION" series is one of my favorite. But I have to admit this series is a turn-off. Too much sex. Well, at first I can't say I dun enjoy it. Then, it's like repeating the same thing over and over again so I get bored. But I loved the two main characters.
Ace Locke : THE SUPERSTAR. ACTION MOVIE star.
Dylan Prescott : Newbie modeling and acting.
So, they met.
While Dylan is open about what he wants and who he wants to fck, while Ace is not. Cameras are everywhere he went, private or public. So Ace is in the hiding. He just had a scandalous scandal (yes, scandals are scandalous) and he had to stay low profile.

The attraction is there between them. But they can't act on their instincts as they are co-actors on the same movie.
Dylan also has a family secret. (does this count as a spoiler? welll...)

As silence descended, I wasn’t sure what the hell to say, or if it was better just to stay silent. But as the man next to me fumed, and my curiosity got the better of me, I couldn’t stop myself from checking in with him.
“Dylan?” I said softly, and when he didn’t acknowledge me, I tried again.
“Hey, talk to me.”
He continued to gaze out the window, but shook his head slightly.
“Who’s Brenda and why does she have you looking like you want to jump out of my car into traffic?” I asked.
“Dylan let out a long sigh and ran his hand over his face.
“She’s no one of any importance.”
“I call bullshit. Anyone who has that much of an effect on you isn’t just no one.”
“Let it go, Ace.”
“And just let you suffer over there in silence? Talk to me.”

The first book gives me something to expect for the second book.

I really had high hopes for 2nd book. Just as I am not highly satisfied with the first book, I don't wanna throw away one of Ella Frank's book also considering the ending of the first book. Actually, the second is better than the first. Plot-wise, that is.
Ace;
"Dylan, I can't begin to explain all of the ways you have changed my life. You literally stopped me in my tracks the first time I saw you, and no, I don't mean at the studio lot. I mean the first time I saw you. And then, by some miracle of fate, you stepped out in front of my car that day, and if that isn't a sign, I don't know what is."
The ending was exciting, almost perfect ending for the book.

I can't believe this book is even by Ella Frank. I have such high hopes for her books. This book is practically about the wedding. Very detailed wedding ceremony.
Trust me, I'd never been this bored.
I flipped through the whole book. The mention of Logan & Tate is quite nice but I can't say it makes any better of the book. I am very sorry to say but this is a complete waste of time.

Infinity + One REVIEW by Amy Harmon EXCERPTION and QUOTES

Yes, forks, it's Amy Harmon.
Her books are always deep and intense and such character-rich style. It's the first book of hers that I read.
Call me crazy or whatever but I have a thing for Math. I actually love Maths. And always agree to "Smart is a new sexy" statement.

Let's get to the main characters, shall we?

Finn Clyde - MATH-guy. Blonde. Not good with words.
Bonnie Shelby - Celeb? Singer. Famous sure, her twin sister's dead got the best of hers.

Yes, that's what connects them. Both of their twins are dead. Finn wasn't a rich guy but Bonnie is. And Bonnie who is so 'enough' of her pretentious famous life, she ran away. Which starts the journey of Bonnie and Clyde. I know, it's perfect right?

A travel to Infinity + One ok?

“Why do most flowers have five petals? Why are honeycombs shaped like hexagons? Why do numbers have corresponding colors? He was eight before he realized not everyone saw the colors.

Numbers also had weight. When he multiplied them, the numbers swirled in his head like a blizzard in a child’s snow globe, the answers settling in his mind softly, just like the snowflakes, as if gravity were responsible for the solution. As he got older, the fascination with the patterns nature presented grew into a fascination for probability, using mathematical formulas to predict outcomes. And his predictions became eerily accurate. So much so that he could handily beat anyone at chess, poker, or even games that seemed governed by chance. There was no such thing as chance to Finn. Chance could be analyzed, sliced, diced, and pegged using a little brain power.”

See? Finn is brilliant man. He's totally brainy and I FALL FOR HIM. And goodness, Amy Harmon rock this!

Bonnie was awake, but just barely. Her eyelids were at half-mast and her hair, wet when she went to bed, looked as if she’d spent a wild night doing all the things he wished they’d done.
“Bonnie Rae, you’ve got a visitor downstairs. And if you don’t show your face right away, he’s going to kill me. And it won’t be a quick death. It will be a mauling. Do you understand?”
“Huh?”
“Bear’s here, and he’s loaded for . . . well, bear.”
“Bear’s here?” she shot straight up in bed, immediately awake, and made for the door, bare legs flying, oversized T-shirt slipping off her slim shoulders.
“Bonnie!” She halted and turned in question. “If you want me to live, pull on some pants and do something with your hair. Please.

So, who is Bear? Is that a nick name? Is that a ... I have no idea XP

Bear stalked after him, and Bonnie was right on Bear’s heels.
“Who the hell do you think you are?” Bear was practically breathing down his back.
“I’m nobody,” Finn said, opening cupboards until he found his father’s coffee can. Same brand as he used to drink.
“You got that right, man. And what makes you think I’m going to let Bonnie Rae spend another minute with a piece of shit like you?”
“Bear!” Bonnie stepped between the two men, sensing both were about to explode. But Finn held himself in check. He didn’t blame the guy. He couldn’t blame him. He knew exactly how it must look, and he knew how he felt. And Bonnie’s feelings were written all over her face. She liked him. He didn’t know why, but she did. And if Finn could see it, Bear could too.
“He’s an ex-con with a swastika on his chest and prison tats all over his back, Rae! What are you thinking?”
“I’m thinking you need to sit down, Bear. You need to back off. Now.” Bonnie pointed at one of the kitchen chairs, and Bear growled but did as she commanded. He was a well-trained Bear

SO, Finn is ex-con????!!!!!!!!! WHAT Do YOU Mean??? I really have no idea XD

Ok, now you can be blown away Amy's fab quotes. Here we go ~

The girl you think is the perfect for you is never the perfect girl for you. One of these days, a girl is going to come along, and you won't ever see her comin'. And she'll rock your world.

May be I'll stop looking for real, now that I've found Infinity

Choices made out of desperation are always bad choices.

I don’t want to be without you, Bonnie! Don’t you get that? I am in love with you! I’ve known you for one week. And I’m in love with you! Crazy, drive-off-a-cliff-if-you-asked-me-to, in love with you. But I don’t want to drive off a cliff! I want to live with you! Do you want that? Or do you still think about jumping off bridges and going down in a hail of bullets?

This is when I shut up and let you decide if you want to read this book or not. BUT !!! You know you are missing a huge deal!!! THIS BOOK IS CRAZY! YOU R SO GONNA LOVE FINN AND BONNIE.
